Medically Urgent Appointments only after 2pm
We are currently experiencing staff shortages due to issues recruiting GPs, as there are over 7,000 GP vacancies in the UK right now. We are looking at alternate staff to address this problem such as recruiting more Pharmacists to help with medication queries and prescribing.
Due to the shortage of GPs, we would ask you for now, to contact the practice in the morning for routine problems. If you need to be seen by a clinician, we can still give you an appointment to suit you if we have one for that day. From 2pm we can only offer telephone appointments/eConsultations for medically urgent appointments.
We are preparing for the flu vaccination season.
Patient demand on our service is very high right now.
We are working as hard as we can throughout these challenging times to offer you the very best service possible. In return we ask you to show all our staff courtesy, kindness, and respect.

Welcome to The Avenue Surgery in Warminster
Giving the best possible care for every patient
The Avenue Surgery is the home of the longest established medical practice in Warminster.
The surgery is a purpose built building with ten consultation rooms, several treatment rooms, and a nurses’ suite, built around a small courtyard.
Outside, there is a dedicated set-down area immediately next to the main entrance, for the less-able and disabled. There is also extensive parking nearby.
We also have a remote site at Station Road with five treatment rooms and administration areas on the first floor.
Our staff are committed to providing quality healthcare for the benefit of all of our patients.
Access doors to both buildings have appropriate ramps, and are wide enough for wheelchairs.
Accessibility Tools
Click the icon on the right hand side of the screen for accessibility tools: change the contrast, zoom in, amend font, use reading aids, etc.
We are an Armed Forces veteran friendly accredited GP practice.
This means that, as part of the health commitments of the Armed Forces Covenant, we have a dedicated clinician who has a specialist knowledge of military related health conditions and veteran specific health services. This is important in helping ex-forces to get the best care and treatment.
